The original playing fields were redeveloped between 2010 and 2012 in response to a petition from a group of village children asking for better play facilities. Using grants from WREN and Awards for All the area has been transformed and now offers:

  • Zip wire
  • Climbing fort
  • Trim Trail
  • Mini BMX track
  • Willow tunnel
  • Play mound with slide and climbing area
  • Basketball net and front court
  • Half-size football pitch
  • Nest swing
  • Toddler swings
  • Climbing frames and slides
  • Covered seating area
  • Picnic benches
  • Seating benches

The Playing Fields are one of the most important assets to the Hail Weston community and we ask that they are treated with respect. Please NEVER LEAVE ANY DOG MESS, clean up after your pets and please PARK CONSIDERATEL

Friends of the Hail Weston Playing Field: a new informal group has been established to oversee maintenance, improvement and development of our excellent and popular open space at the west end.

We’ll be inviting parishioners to join us for occasional maintenance working parties – look out for notices around the village and via the Hail Weston eNewsletter If you might like to get more involved in sharing ideas and making plans for improvements or development, contact: [email protected]
